Unprecedented and UnAmerican: “Climate Change” Bill passes house

June 27, 2009 · 10 Comments

Today it is far more fashionable and tolerable to say Jesus Christ never walked the earth or there is no God then to say Global Warming, or the newer modified version, Climate Change, doesn’t exist. America is now in uncharted waters as the Democrats have moved America further away from its historical roots and unmatched capitalist system. What is totally sad in the bill’s passing is, like socialism, it has been a total failure wherever it has been tried. Across Europe and even down to Australia, this nonsense has been scrapped. The economist in Spain blamed their own version of a climate change bill on their tragically high unemployment rate of 18 percent. The government reports that for every “green job” created equaled two losses in other private sector jobs. Energy prices have skyrocketed and businesses find it too expensive to produce. Therefore, they pass on the costs by cutting back production, which are driving prices higher, and laying off employees, which are driving unemployment numbers higher. Sounds like a recipe for contraction.

President Obama during the campaign speaking in San Francisco: “You know, when I was asked earlier about the issue of coal, uh, you know — under my plan of a cap-and-trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.”

This blueprint for disaster is out there. And strangely experts here at home are saying the exact same thing will happen here as well because of the simple principles of capitalism and our market economy. Assuming, of course, those two mentioned remain. Hyperbole aside, I am seriously beginning to wonder how much longer that will be, however.

There are so many Democrats who have personal investments in startup “green” companies and technologies. That includes Nancy Pelosi. So, most of them feel eager to build castles in the sky and create a new dynamic green energy economy, which translates into large subsidies for their investments and a new national energy tax. Hey, you have to help close that massive deficit somehow, right? Besides, they never had much use for the older system of our economy. But, this isn’t solely a Democrat problem even though they did send a taxi to break Rep. Patrick Kennedy out of rehab so he could vote yes for the bill. Here is a list of Republicans who voted for the bill.

There is some good news to this. The bill still has to pass the Senate and both sides have voiced that is unlikely.

Love the videos! This is has got to be the worst bill passed in recent memory. No way this passes the Senate. The Republicans will win this public argument.

By the way, what ever happened to Obama’s promised transparency? 300 new amendments sneaked into another 1,000+ page document? Not exactly what he promised during the election now is it.

Story book characters, which is what Obama is, should never be confused with real life people or events.

Unfortunately, the same dead heads who voted for him are not paying attention anymore.

Jason, I’m with you on this one, as are many of us.

Thanks for stopping by, Jannie. Let’s just hope there is enough to put some pressure on our politicians.

Thanks for the link to Malkin’s Hall of Shame. It should also be noted that a significant number of Democrats voted against the bill for various reasons, so those 8 GOP votes proved to be important.

That “older system” didn’t allow them control, which is what they want. This is all about control, only control, and always control. The politically-connected will get rich, while “we the people” get poor.

And deficits? They don’t really want to payoff those stinkin’ deficits. Every single federal government action over the past 50+ years, proves unquestionably, that the Powers That Be aren’t interested in paying off debt.

How else can they scare us into more taxes? And more taxes of course, equals more control. It’s a vicious cycle, and “we the people” are losing bad.

It’s time to throw the entire Washington regime out! Not just out of office, but in jail, where they belong!

I’m convinced that the Democrat vs. Republican debate no longer applies. The only fight that matters now, is “we the people” vs. the Leviathan! We’re all the way back to 1776.

That is exactly the case CL. Washington can’t fix Washington. This will have to come from the outside and the stakes have never been higher.

My Republican Congressman Says Cap and Trade is Good for America.

And, he caught the Green River Killer.

Did you catch the Green River Killer?

    No, no you didn’t.

You can hear his interview here.

    http://www.mynorthwest.com/?nid=194&sid=184941

Dave Reichert SPEAKS: says Cap and Trade will be good for America

He argued that the expense would not be what the Heartland Institute, Heritage Foundation, and Wall Street Journal were predicting. He argued that it would cost around $.48 per day and that we would have better national security, more nuclear, coal and refining capabilities, and a cleaner environment with the bill. He argued that the conservative arguments against were mistaken, and that Washington specifically would be better off even though the bill was imperfect.

And, he caught the Green River Killer.

Yeah, it took him a couple of decades, but better late than never.

I hear Fox was thinking about making the Series 24 about Reichert. But instead of showing 24 hours in a day they would have to make each episode a year.

No, I didn’t catch the Green River Killer. But, I have caught a few other equally bad men.
