And I want to be a marathon runner despite running no more than 10 miles a week. Action, or inaction, always finishes the story. Such is the case with President Obama and his ultimate goal of limiting abortions in the U.S. Upon his meeting with the Pope, President Obama expressed his desire to reduce abortion in the U.S. However, that statement doesn’t match his personal philosophy nor his own party’s platform. President Obama is a well documented supporter for abortion rights and even cases of infanticide. He voted against giving medical aid to infants born alive during abortions, which he lied about during the campaign and later had to admit he lied (see video in his own words). Read the account of Jill Stanek who came forward about the murderous and barbaric operation conducted right here in the land of the free. (H/T to Hot Air)
One of his very first acts as President of the United States was to reverse the Mexico City policy. In other words, he sends taxpayer’s dollars around the world to fund abortions. To think otherwise on the merit in this or disagree with decision would be “to continue a stale and fruitless debate.” Yes. Yes. arguing on the side of life and protecting the innocent makes for very stale and fruitless conversation. I can imagine from that statement what it was like during the 1850s when so many Democrats like Mr. Obama argued that slavery and the Dread Scott case had become “a stale and fruitless debate.” It was best for those in power and more inclined to make better decisions for those who can’t, or are unable, to decide who lives and who doesn’t. Who lives free and who lives in chains. It is amazing how little the Democrat party has evolved in over a 150 years.
Let us see if we can follow President Obama’s abortion arithmetic.
1. Abortion is bad
2. Wants abortions reduced
3. Supports, funds, and votes to broaden access to abortion at every turn
4. ??
News Max | 86 Percent of U.S. Wants Abortion Restrictions
The American people continue to move to the pro-life perspective on abortion according to the latest Moral Compass survey by the Knights of Columbus and Marist Poll.
The poll mirrored findings of other recent surveys, showing that more Americans identify as pro-life than as pro-choice, and that the vast majority of Americans favor restricting abortion.
Among the key findings:
- 86% of Americans would significantly restrict abortion.
- 60% of Americans would limit abortion to cases of rape, incest or to save the life of a mother – or would not allow it at all.
- 53% of Americans believe abortion does more harm than good to a woman in the long term.
- 79% of Americans support conscience exemptions on abortion for health care workers. This includes 64% of those who identify as strongly pro-choice.
- 69% of Americans think that it is appropriate for religious leaders to speak out on abortion.
- 59% say religious leaders have a key role to play in the abortion debate.
- 80% of Americans believe that laws can protect both the health of the woman and the life of the unborn. This includes 68% of those who identified as strongly pro-choice.
Additionally, the data showed that since October nearly every demographic sub-group had moved toward the pro-life position except for non-practicing Catholics and men under 45 years of age.
Independents and liberals showed the greatest shift to the pro-life position since October, while Democrats were slightly less likely to be pro-life now than they were in October.

His pandering is sickening. I actually laughed to keep from throwing my coke when I read that. Vintage Obama saying whatever he has to in order to get approval from his current audience.
I hope he did not think anyone takes him seriously.

Chuck,
It only matters in terms of what he says, not what he does or believes. That has been the secret to his success.

You can say that again…
