This site serves as a journal on Western Culture and American Power both in which are needed during these times of clashing civilizations and the growing relation between violence and culture. The contributions that Western civilization has had on mankind are undeniable to include: freedom giving democratic institutions and the rule of law, the concept and practice of human rights, the continuing cutting edge development of medicine, science and technology, religious tolerance (made possible by Christianity) and the values of liberty, self defense and unalienable rights.
It is because of these guiding principles that the West has been able to combine modernity and industry that have impacted, enriched, and influenced every country in the world. As a result all other civilizations have been attempting to catchup to the West in wealth and advancement in the dignity of man.
However, history has not ended with the West’s triumphs. Every civilization before us who were convinced that they were the final result of humanity were doomed to decline. That is why renewal from the Western world is needed and is why we must remember our history and legacy if we are to continue to enrich mankind and influence world affairs in the twenty-first century.
